Despite the increased attention on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEI&B), our society has a long way to go to achieve real transformation.
The pandemic continues to disproportionately affect some communities, who are more vulnerable as a result of the health disparities they experience and the nature of the jobs they do. On top of that, the recent Capitol riots and attacks on Asian-Americans have led to increased angst and distrust.
Doubling down on our current efforts won’t be enough. For change to happen, a dramatic shift must take place.
But what does that look like, particularly in the workplace?
Join Jordana Kammerud, CHRO, Claire’s, and Dr. Jarik Conrad, VP of Human Insights and Executive Director of the Equity at Work Council, UKG, as they draw on concepts rooted in neuroscience and psychology to:
- Unlock the complexities of our nation’s social justice issues and how they affect us all, personally and professionally
- Bridge the theoretical and practical to show ways organizations can effect meaningful change
- Offer insight into how your organization’s DEI&B communications may be perceived by different groups at different times
Jordana joined Claire’s as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer in February 2020. She has a strong affinity for the mission of Claire’s, and is focused on optimizing people investments to create value for the business, its employees, and its investors.
