Adopting the new Workforce Ready user interface is a key part of your Workforce Ready experience. Kronos product managers and engineers created it specifically with the employee experience in mind.

Regardless of your role – payroll manager, to HR professional, to solution admin – writing down “adopt the new Workforce Ready user interface” on your 2019 to do list is a smart move. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing blog posts highlighting why folks in payroll, HR, and administrator positions will find value in switching on the new Workforce Ready experience. This first post will focus on payroll.

To help me explain why payroll managers care about the new Workforce Ready experience, I got together with Katie Davis, our lead payroll product manager, Tom McNamara, our lead product manager for the new experience, and Malini Rao, senior manager of user experience. Here’s what these three experts say are the top three reasons to adopt!

As a paycheck hero, you approach each paycheck cycle ensuring that your employees have the perfect paycheck, and we think that is amazing! To make life easier for you, we reorganized how the main menu is structured. We wanted to have Workforce Ready work parallel to the way you do. How did we decide what structure worked best? We conducted a bunch of user testing, surveys, and feedback sessions with various payroll heroes just like you. We concluded from this research that you wanted information grouped in four key areas: Favorites, My Info, Team, and Admin.

Three Reasons Payroll Managers Will Care About The New Workforce Ready UI

Access key payroll information, like employee payroll history, in FAVORITES.

Under MY INFO, you can get to your personal information quickly, such as your schedule and benefits.

In our TEAM section, you have access to all the critical things you need to do for your employees; processing timesheets and payroll.

Lastly, we wanted to break out your admin duties, so you have easy access to key areas like profile/policies and pay prep within the ADMIN menu.

Any time access to your payroll data on mobile

WFR mobile depositBefore the new mobile experience, you were limited in the payroll functions you could complete using the mobile app.  If you wanted to look at your direct deposit, then great… but viewing employee payroll information, no way. Now you can not only look at direct deposits, you can also edit the direct deposit information right within the app. Need earnings information on the go for your CFO or to research quarter-end and year-end information? No problem, it’s now all available right within the palm of your hands.
