Born in the year that sits between the millennial and Gen Z generations, my life has been full of everything from dial-up internet and VCRs to iPhones and virtual reality. I grew up learning to communicate through writing and face-to-face interactions (even if it is via FaceTime) and am connected to a never-ending network of peers using social media all over the world. Life is all about connections now.
The internet has made the world more connected than ever before. If you want to connect with your colleagues across the world, they are only an email away. If you have a question about something, ask Google. If physically attending class isn't something that works for you, education opportunities are available online. But what happens when you need to connect with other Kronos customers, ask a question to a Kronos employee, or learn about the available resources pertaining to your Kronos solution?
Well, there’s the Kronos Community. The Kronos Community can connect you with other Kronos customers, partners, and Kronos employees. Ask questions, get answers, and view articles, news, webinars, and more in the collaborative, online space.
As the marketing intern for Community this summer, one of my major projects was helping others understand this awesome tool. From an outsider’s point of view, I went step by step through different scenarios and paid close attention to the things that confused me. Then, I took all this information and created video tutorials on topics that I wished I'd known more about before starting on this project. The videos I created demo how to perform important tasks like registering for the Kronos Community, personalizing your Kronos Community profile, and navigating the various pages and menu tabs, to name a few.
I also get to leave a lasting impression on Kronos before heading back to Ohio for my senior year! I'm happy that I could play a role in helping Kronos Community members learn more about the value the tool has to offer.
