As we head into 2019, many of us are making new resolutions to help us become the best versions of ourselves. Whether it be stocking our fridges with green vegetables, making more time for friends and family, or bracing the packed gym to shed holiday layers, we’re all looking to make proactive changes in the new year.
I’ll let you in on a little secret for two of my New Year’s resolutions – one personal, one professional.
- I hate, hate running. But I know it’s good for me; so, I’ve decided to sign up for a 5k and hopefully learn to tolerate running. Will announcing this here help me stay accountable? That’s the intent. Also helping me stay on track is an app that reminds me when it’s a running day. I’m leaning on this app to keep me up to date and on track.
- My other goal is to continue helping administrators stay in the know with information about Workforce Ready releases and be aware of technical notices. This post is a jump start to this resolution! And one I’m ten times more excited about than running. It’s my purview to ensure Workforce Ready customers get the right information at the right time; and so, you’ll be seeing more from me on Working Smarter Café in 2019 as a result.
Much like the alerts through my running app, you can opt in to have release readiness information delivered straight to you. How? It’s all possible through the Kronos Community. Simply join the appropriate Workforce Ready Alert groups. It’s as easy as downloading an app.
But first things first, visit and join Workforce Ready Announcements (Note: you will need to be logged in to Community to view). This broadcast group is a great place to go for information about releases coming to your Workforce Ready solution. I recommend updating your notification settings and subscribing to every post, so you don’t miss a thing! Go to the Workforce Ready Announcements group, click the notifications dropdown in the page header, and select Every Post. Subscribing to these in-the-moment updates is the best way to current on the latest Workforce Ready announcements.
Next, you will want to add your Alert group. Below are links to the various Workforce Ready Alert groups:
No worries if you aren’t sure which Alert group to join. We’ve got you covered with this handy article that instructs you on how to identify which alert group you should join. Workforce Ready Alert groups are key resources for receiving legislative and technical updates that affect your Workforce Ready solution.
Set yourself up to be as informed as possible for a strong start to 2019! Please don’t hesitate to post your questions on the Workforce Ready Support page in the Kronos Community.
