If you’re anything like me, the last few weeks of December are a whirlwind…trying to wrap up things at work before taking some time off, getting last minute gifts for friends and family and jumping on flights to be with loved ones. This first week back after the holidays is usually the only opportunity to really take some time to reflect on the past year. I looked through our most popular posts of 2018 and I think they tell a good story. While topics like artificial intelligence and machine learning are hot right now and rightfully so, there are companies still focusing on getting the fundamentals down. There’s still a need to figure out how to work with technology to not only automate routine HR tasks, but to extract meaningful data to help make more informed business decisions. New hire onboarding, technology as a pillar of the employee experience and redefining analytics were all popular topics for us in 2018. Here’s a list of the most visited blogs on What Works, enjoy!

1. HRIS, HRMS, HCM…what is the difference

2. Automating time and attendance – getting it right the first time

3. Good vs. bad overtime – how to spot the difference

4. What happened to the promise of paperless HR

5. Payroll’s digital transformation – the need for speed

6. 4 common misperceptions about onboarding

7. 3 ways to get started with people analytics

Take time for yourself to reflect on the last 12 months and think about the 12 that lie ahead.

Happy 2019 from Kronos!
