As chief information officer (CIO) and vice president of information technology (IT) at Kronos, John McGregor is responsible for IT operations that support employees across the globe. His forward-thinking and pragmatic approach to IT infrastructure and services keeps the company’s global IT organization closely aligned with the business and at the forefront of innovation.
Throughout his tenure at the company, McGregor has made a significant impact on its strategic direction, leading the effort to build Kronos Cloud, which is home to customers worldwide, and helping to drive the company’s successful transformation into a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company. As part of that evolution, he restructured his department as an IT-as-a-service organization—implementing a model for IT operations that was well ahead of the industry curve.
Prior to joining Kronos in 2008, McGregor held several IT leadership positions with leading companies such as Sweetheart Cup Company and United Components. At both organizations, he led critical global enterprise resource planning implementations while transforming IT operations.
McGregor is a recognized thought leader within the IT industry and has earned accolades for his achievements. He has been a featured keynote presenter at the Salesforce Dreamforce conference and was named a finalist in the ORBIE Awards for Boston CIO of the Year for his work on the landmark move of Kronos to its new global headquarters, website upgrade, and key digitization initiatives to help the company shift its business model to become a leader in SaaS solutions.
McGregor earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Nova Southeastern University.
