Kronos 4500 IP69K Edition
What is IP69K?
The International Electrotechnical Commission's IP (Ingress Protection Rating) code is defined in IEC 60529, Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code). It classifies the degrees of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects (including body parts like hands and fingers), dust, and water in electrical enclosures.
The first digit of the code indicates the level of protection that the enclosure provides against access to hazardous parts (e.g., electrical conductors, moving parts) and the ingress of solid foreign objects. The second digit indicates the protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against harmful ingress of water. The IP69K rating is designated for enclosures that demonstrate they are dust-tight and also able to endure high-pressure, high-temperature wash-down and steam cleaning.
