Dr. Robert P. Yerex, Ph.D., MBA, chief economist

Kronos Incorporated

Dr. Yerex heads the research and analytics team at Kronos. In this role, he frequently consults with HR, finance, and operations executives on how they can effectively manage and optimize their employee assets.

Prior to joining Kronos, Dr. Yerex spent his career with several consulting firms such as American Management Systems and was an associate professor in the School of Business and Economics at North Carolina A&T State University.

Dr. Yerex earned a Ph.D. in Quantitative Analysis, and an MBA in Finance, both from Cornell University. He is an expert in the development of financial and econometric models that tie HR initiatives to financial and operational results that can be measured in real dollar returns.

Robert is a member of the Society of Labor Economists, The American Economic Association, The American Statistical Association, and the Econometric Society.

Steve Earl, director of product marketing

Kronos Incorporated

Steve Earl is the director of product marketing at Kronos. In this role, Earl is responsible for all inbound and outbound marketing activities as they relate to Kronos time and attendance, scheduling, absence management, HR and payroll, hiring, and labor analytics solutions.

Earl joined Kronos in 2006 as part of Kronos’ acquisition of Unicru. Prior to the acquisition, Earl was the senior industry marketing manager at Unicru, responsible for the market strategy, planning, and execution for the retail vertical. During this time, Earl was also responsible for the development of new and extended market segments.

Prior to Unicru, Earl held marketing and strategy positions with Oracle and PeopleSoft, with a concentration on the application outsourcing and ASP delivery models.

A seasoned marketer, he is frequently quoted in the media about how organizations can strategically source, select, and hire the best people.

Earl earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Queensland, Australia.
