Sheetz Renews Contract with Kronos® to Hire and Retain High-Energy, Customer-Oriented Workforce
Rapidly growing convenience store chain works with Kronos to help staff its 350 stores
CHELMSFORD, Mass., Sept. 15, 2008 — With 350 retail locations and more than 11,000 employees at any given time, rapidly growing convenience chain Sheetz needed a way to efficiently and consistently find and hire exceptional employees across all locations. Sheetz had been using a paper-based system since it was founded more than 50 years ago. As the company continued its rapid growth, this system had become outdated and inefficient. "Besides being incredibly time consuming to wade through, paper applications collected at individual store locations provided us with little insight into the big picture in terms of our hiring strategy," said Susan Schwaderer, manager of human resources administration at Sheetz.
