Kronos® Essentials Reduces Costs and Boosts Productivity for Small and Midsize Businesses

Flexible solution automates critical business processes and accelerates ROI

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 6, 2007 — Many growing organizations share a common motivation to automate time and attendance processes to reduce payroll errors, eliminate payroll rework, and avoid compliance risk. But many organizations lack critical IT, administrative, and financial resources to achieve these objectives. More and more small and midsize businesses are turning to Kronos Essentials from Kronos® Incorporated to automate costly and time-consuming processes associated with employee time and attendance. With 40 percent year-over-year growth, Kronos Essentials is rapidly gaining traction among small and midsize businesses.

"Kronos is experiencing fantastic adoption rates among small and midsize businesses," said Aron Ain, Kronos chief executive officer. "Kronos Essentials levels the playing field by providing all the benefits of our widely used software bundled with services, hardware, and training to fit the unique business needs of small and midsize businesses."

Today, thousands of organizations with fewer than 2,500 employees rely on Kronos to manage their time and attendance processes. As their needs grow, many of these organizations choose to extend their Kronos solutions to handle absence management, scheduling, human resources, and payroll functions as well. This phased approach to implementation enables customers to deploy the exact solution they need, and add additional modules as they grow without incurring expenses associated with elaborate future migrations.

New Era Cap Co., Inc., a leading sports cap manufacturer and long-term Kronos customer recently upgraded to Kronos Essentials to tackle emerging critical business issues. "After having used the Kronos time and attendance solution for four years, we realized we could achieve even greater benefit from Kronos Essentials," said Amol Shah, human resources information system administrator at New Era. "Kronos Essentials incorporates global enterprise-level workforce management best practices, and yet it is scaleable and tailored to grow with us. As we continue to expand globally, we firmly believe that Kronos Essentials can handle our future workforce needs."

Customers deploying Kronos Essentials can get up and running quickly with the solution through remote implementation. To make it even easier for customers, Kronos has partnered with Dell Inc. and Microsoft Corporation to bundle the Kronos Essentials solution on a Dell server, which is shipped directly to the customer.

"We used Kronos' remote implementation methodology for speedy deployment," said Rick Plattner, administrator at Fairview Haven Long-Term Care Facility. "This instantly improved our employees' confidence in the solution, eliminated payroll errors, and ultimately resulted in cost savings of more than $130,000."

Kronos Essentials is available in a variety of flexible pay and deploy models including lease, subscription, and remote hosting. Kronos Essentials customers receive Knowledge Pass, a subscription for on-demand training and virtual classrooms. Kronos provides all sales, implementation, and support for Kronos Essentials.
