City of Enid Selects Comprehensive Kronos Solution

CHELMSFORD, Mass., Dec. 6, 2011 — The City of Enid in Oklahoma has selected a comprehensive workforce management solution from Kronos Incorporated to control labor costs, minimize compliance risk, and improve workforce productivity.

  • The City of Enid selected the time and attendance, employee scheduling, absence management, and TeleStaff public safety scheduling solutions from Kronos®. As labor costs represent one of the largest controllable expenses for local governments, Kronos was selected to automate processes to help achieve real-time visibility and control over labor-related decisions.  
  • Prior to Kronos, the city used manual workforce management processes. Through accuracy in timekeeping and payroll processing, the City of Enid expects to achieve a rapid return on investment. Kronos will also help the city pay its employees on time and accurately as well as easily comply with state, federal, and other labor law regulations such as the Fair Labor Standards Act.
  • Automating and standardizing across all departments with Kronos will free up 30 percent of the city’s payroll administrator’s time to focus on other higher value activities. Additionally, with Kronos, City of Enid officials will make more effective and timely decisions related to labor as they will have access to real-time labor data as well as historical labor trends.
  • The Kronos TeleStaff solution will be used in the City of Enid’s fire and police departments to meet unique public safety requirements such as vacation and shift bidding, event scheduling, and scheduling to a resource.
