Certain persons are sending what appear to be legitimate Kronos Incorporated checks to individuals or companies. The check may have been sent in response to an ad that the individual may have placed or responded to or may have been received in the mail, unsolicited, with a note to contact someone for more details, along with an email address. The instructions accompanying the check generally instruct the individual to cash the check, retain some portion of the amount of the check and to wire the remaining money to a third party.
This is a scam. These are counterfeit checks. Do not cash these checks. Do not send any money to the person or entity named in the letter.
